Post Overview
RSU seeks qualified academic members to serve as the dean of the faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, based at the Bosaso main campus. As a dean, you will be expected to provide academic leadership to the faculty and enhance the quality of education at the faculty. A substantial record of managerial experience in higher education teaching and/or a large organization with critical teamwork and excellent communication skills is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic leadership to the faculty
- Prepare study plans and participate in the hiring process of the academic staff of the faculty.
- Promote academic excellence and ensure quality education at the faculty level.
- Lead research and scholarly publication of the faculty.
- Create meaningful collaboration with the Academic Affairs Office, staff, and the students of the faculty.
- Supervising and assisting undergraduate students at the faculty.
Qualifications and Experience:
Red Sea University is looking for a qualified candidate who can meet the following qualifications:
- Masters degree or PhD in Computer science, IT, or ICT
- At least three years of administrative role in higher education or other ICT-related organization.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in English Language.
- Experience in research and publication (added advantage).
