Dr. Abdullahi Sh. Hassan Abdisalam Red Sea University President
Dr. Faisal Abdirahman Abdullahi
Vice President for Admin and Finance

For the past decade, Dr. Faisal has been teaching at the Faculty of Economics and Management Science at Red Sea University. Additionally, he serves as the Vice President for Administration and Finance at the university, overseeing all financial matters, including procurement and logistics. With his wealth of experience in the development of institutional financial management, he also provides consultancy services to a range of businesses. Dr. Faisal is also an active advocate for the education rights of impoverished children. In an effort to improve Somali society, he is a founder of the Hanaqaad Social Development and Education Network, established in 2013, dedicated to providing free education and training for children and young people.

Dr. Ahmed Said Mohamud
Vice President for Academics

Dr. Ahmed Said Mohamud is a veterinarian and one health epidemiologist with extensive experience in higher education management and leadership. He previously worked as a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Red Sea University in Galkaio campus and currently serves as a research and biostatistics senior lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Red Sea University. He also worked in senior academic administration positions in various higher education institutions in Somalia including his current service as the vice-president for academic affairs at the Red Sea University.

Nasrudin Mohamed Ahmed
Dean of Economics and MNG Sciences

Nasrudin M. Ahmed (MBA) has over 15 years of administrative and financial experience with the United Nations. He has been a senior lecturer at Red Sea University since March 2023, and he is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, as well as the acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Mr. Nasrudin has also previously worked as an accounting lecturer at the university between 2009 and 2014. Mr. Nasrudin is a writer and has translated three books from English to Somali language: “7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” “Who Moved My Cheese,” and “Left to Tell.” He is also working on political economy research publication. Mr. Nasrudin’s passion is humanitarianism, and he has some incredible ideas for reducing poverty in Somalia through Islamic financing.

Abduhakin Mohamed Farah Director of Examination Office

Mr. Abduhakin Mohamed Farah (MBA) has been a senior lecturer at Red Sea University since 2016, teaching Principles of Management, Principles of Economics, Introduction to Public Administration, and Project Management. He held the following positions at Red Sea University: Director of Academic Department, Director of Student Affairs, Assistant Director of Postgraduate Program, Head of the University’s Management Information System, and is currently the Director of Examination Department. In addition to being a researcher, Mr. Abduhakin works voluntarily to mentor young people

Yahye Isse Hassan
Director of Human Resource

Yahye Isse Hassan is a lecturer in health science and medical laboratory studies with over a decade of experience. He pursued further education in medical laboratory technology, gaining proficiency in diagnostic methodologies, laboratory management, and quality assurance. Hassan has worked in various healthcare settings, deepening his understanding of medical science and fostering a sense of responsibility for advancement. In addition to teaching, Hassan actively engages in research and scholarly endeavors, collaborating with colleagues and students to address healthcare challenges and advance medical science.
