Red Sea University, Somalia is excited to announce the launching of the INCLUSIVE AND INNOVATIVE DIGITAL EDUCATION FOR MIGRANT COMMUNITY IN KENYA AND SOMALIA (IIDEMIC) project. IIDEMIC is a multi-country project funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+EDU-2023-CBHE STRAND 2 – Capacity Building in Higher Education. The project aims to promote use of soft skills to enhance employability and improve integration of Somali migrants in Kenya and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Somalia to the host communities using inclusive and innovative digital education. The project is a three (3) years initiative effective from 1st January, 2024.
The Vice president for Admin and Finance, Red Sea University; Dr. Faisal Abdirahman Abdullahi and the Vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Said attended the kick-off meeting of the IIDEMIC project at Kütahya Dumlupinar University in Kütahya, Turkiye from 12-15 Feb, 2024.
The project consists a consortium of six (6) partners, namely: Kenyatta University, Kenya, Red Sea University, Somalia; Mogadishu University, Somalia; Masinde Muliro University , Kenya Uniwersytet WSB Merito W Poznaniu (WSB), Poland; Kütahya Dumlupinar Universitesi (DPU), Turkey.
